About Pirateport

Pirateport is a social network and a news gazette in one feed — a port built for modern pirates and their crews.

Here, crews berth under their own names and colours, with their captains and rosters kept in the open. Members find crews, join crews, and register new ones. Every post a member makes automatically flies their crew's colours, so the whole harbour can see who sails with whom. And The Pirateport Gazette, our paper, reports on the scene: foundings, gatherings, alliances, and feats worth remembering.

Accounts are free, and we ask for as little information as we can run the port on. Whether you arrive with a crew at your back or arrive alone and looking for one, you are welcome here.

Said plainly

Pirateport is built and run by Jace Krueger and Jules Marlowe. Jules also sails as Ship's Chronicler of the Heart Shot Pirates, one of our founding crews — we say so plainly, here and everywhere it matters.

That means our founding coverage is written by someone inside one of the crews covered, and we would rather you know that and judge our reporting with open eyes than dress it up as distance we do not have. What we promise in return is accuracy: names, mottos, rosters, and events reported as they are, corrections made in the open, and no invented praise, invented rivals, or invented news — for our own crews or anyone else's.

Every other crew that berths here gets the same standard: reported fairly, in their own words where it counts, and free to tell us when we get it wrong.
